Plotting transparency - Everything comes out lighter

So i am using ACAD LT 2021 and plotting from paperspace, here is my plot setup

When i preview the plot everything looks correct as shown here

But when i complete the plot this is what comes out, with everything faded or lighter.

Pulling my hair out with this one as I cant work what is wrong. If I turn on "plot object lineweights" it works but then i have a poor quality plot as shown here

some advice would be greatly appricated

Hi,

i guess it is your PDF-Viewer on the one side and on the other side your lineweight setting (objects and/or Layers).

Without the dwg file, we can not check these things.

Your title is Plotting transparency, why?

Plotting transparency is what i am trying to do and is the only time i have this issue.

Its not the pdf viewer as if i plot straight to printer or try a difernt pdf tool the same issues applies

Nothing sounds like an issue, just the minimum lineweight (what is used wjile printing without lineweights) + transparency properties are to thin/bright

and your lineweight setting of the text in your title is to thick for a well looking text.

I guess you are using 'Plot with lineweights' ON for usual , or not?

Share a sample dwg and every one can search for the settings and the problem.

Hi,

i opend your file, set "DWG to PDF.pc3" as printer, saw that

your 'transparency' plot setting was DISabled??

I turned it ON

I checked the text inside your title block,

the lineweight is ByLayer,

the Layer is 'TITLE BLOCK',

the layer lineweight is DEFAULT.

"default" is a bad choice, but ok. What is your default lineweight?

Standard is 25 (0.25) and i used this for the plot.

Whats your setting? Command LWDEFAULT

1. Is the PDF ok for you, looks fine?

2. Try the same setting, how looks this PDF, created with 'DWG to PDF.pc3' ?

May i ask why?

Because i can not find any objects with a transparency value other then bylayer

and the layer transparency is set to 0.

Plotting with transparency is useless, the only possible result is getting trouble with this.

i reloaded the .pc3 file and it seemed to work using dwg to pdf.. but now the aodbe acrobat X doesnt print the transparency objects... even on the pdf you sent me .. uggghhh

I have transparency on layer "PC_CONCRETE" I find it makes the layout easier to understand or do you have a better way of doing this?

Okay, your program and settings working fine, it is just a problem

with your favorite printer configuration (Adobe).

The only hint from me: Is your program updated?

Which product (name and version) are you using?

Well i still havent resolved this and its doing my head in.

Now that i have changed to dwg to pdf and not ticking "plot object lineweights" the pdfs look great and nice clear.. HOW EVER!!! when i print they came out really faint, i have tried differnt PDF applications etc and get the same problem

anyone can help ??? @cadffm ???? @pendean ????

And WITHOUT 'Plot transparency' that works different and as expected?

Sorry, but without 'Plot lineweights', the lines are just to thin for this color.

Without 'Plot lineweights' , an ortho BLACK line,

the printer tries to plot the thinnest possible continuous line

Same line, but in color grey

Printer print the same data, but because of the color grey instead black, it prints only every second ink dot

It looks like grey, but also "thinner".

I guess you are talking about usual things, i can not see an issue here !?

Please try it one time with: Change all colors to 7, print again without lineweights, but with plot transparency.

Maybe try printing with a smaller paper size?

I used to have the same problem but exporting the PDF as A3 instead of A1 fixed it for me.
