If you use an annotative text style for the attributes there is a tick box in the dialogue that will keep the text always straight even when used in a block that is rotated. You might need to play with the text justification to get the attribute to behave how you want, but it does keep the text straight with the layout.

BLOCK ATTRIBUTES

Hello, not sure I know how to describe what I want to do. I have been making blocks with visibility states so I can have a library of blocks for the structural steel I draw for fabricators. I can insert a block such as a bolt and select the visibility for the size for the bolt and then explode it so the attext command can read the attributes within that particular block. Works great; however, there is an a feature I would like to add if possible. The attributes in each of my blocks are MATERIAL FINISH MARK etc... I made the MARK attribute visible because it has to be seen on the object so it can be identified in the materials table. This so the shop guy can associate the drawing with the material listed in the materials table. Having the MARK attribute visible is good but when I stretch or rotate the object I want to be able to move the MARK nomenclature to the proper place and rotate it if necessary. The rotate parameter does not seem to work on attributes. Any thoughts?

Double-click on the attribute to open the enhanced attribute editor. Select the attribute you want to rotate and goto the 'text options' tab of the editor, there is an option to rotate the text, so no need to use parameters.

Thank you for responding. I appreciate that. I am wondering if there is a
parameter that can be used so that attribute will stay in position buy
rotate automatically as I rotate the object it identifies so that it can
always remain upright and not upside down or sideways. If I have explained
that well enough to understand.

Again thank you for your response.

Have a great day.

Big thanks to everyone who responded to my post. I have been working on some complicated blocks to make my job a little easier. Building a template file for new drawings and it is coming along well. All of you contributed to my success with the issue I was having. Thank you very much and I hope all of you have a good Christmas and a better new year.
