Hi all ,I have a query and help required.I have been using metric system to make technical drawings in CAD.I was using scales such as 1:1000,1:500,1:200,1:100,1:50,1:25,1:10,1:5 for all my working drawings and detail drawing.Recently I have started using imperial system of drawing making.Could anyone help me what will be the equivalent scale in Imperial system corresponding to the metric sales

1:1000 =

1:500 =

1:200=

1:100=

1:50=

1:25=

1:20=

1:15=

1:10=

1:5=

There is no direct equivalent all you can do is figure out the closest values. Imperial scales are listed when you use an imperial template. So you just need to find the nearest to what are trying to achieve for example the 'normal' metric scale of 1:00 that you might typically use for a house floor layout would in an Imerial drawing use 1/8" = 1'-0" (which is actually 1:96).

<LI-CODE lang="general">1/128"    = 1'-0"     1:1536
1/64"     = 1'-0"     1:768
1/32"     = 1'-0"     1:384
1/16"     = 1'-0"     1:192
3/32"     = 1'-0"     1:128
1/8"      = 1'-0"     1:96
3/16"     = 1'-0"     1:64
1/4"      = 1'-0"     1:48
3/8"      = 1'-0"     1:32
1/2"      = 1'-0"     1:24
3/4"      = 1'-0"     1:16
1"        = 1'-0"     1:12
1'-1/2"   = 1'-0"     1:8
3"        = 1'-0"     1:4
6"        = 1'-0"     1:2
1'-0"     = 1'-0"     1:1</LI-CODE>

This is of course assuming you are drawing full size using feet and inches and not just taking an old metric drawing and trying to print it using imperial scales, which just wouldn't work.
