table of contents with links

Hey I was wondering if there is a way to create some sort of table of contents with links to the respective parts of my model space. I have a large drawing with many HVAC details and this would be very useful for helping me find what I am looking for rather than looking for it manually.

Any suggestion is very welcome,

I suggest for that to try VIEW command . click on below image to see how you can make your own view for a specific plan area . also you can select all similar tools or equipment's blocks by SELECTSIMILAR command ( watch SEttings ) or QSELECT and Filter commands >> Click << .

Hi @Anonymous,

Are you looking for something like to extract the information of the objects in modelspace? like coordinates of the object, number of objects, etc. Then try the "DATAEXTRACTION".

You can achieve this by combining the NEWVIEW command and the HIPERLINK field.

Start by setting up the desired views.

Search for the New View button in the View ribbon tab or just type NEWVIEW on the command line.

Thereupon, create a Table or a Mtext.

Double-click on the text to show the Text Formatting bar.

Click on the Insert Field button.

Once the Field dialog pops, search for Hyperlink in the Fields names column.

Set some text to be displayed and click the Hyperlink... button.

On the left Link to: column, select View of This Drawing, and the select some saved view or layout from the right.

Hit OK three times to accept the changes.

To open the created Hyperlink, just hold CTRL while you Click the text.

Furthermore, if you want to automate the process, the Field Expression syntax goes like this:
