Regards to all, i face with problem about -MOVE- command, i need to move many objects (with Select Similar) that are not in the same plane from their center. Does anyone know how to solve it? Maybe there is some lisp? For exemple if i select objects that i need and press -M- (Move command) select cener of one obj, find Perpendicular (obj snap), type 5 (for 5m) he will move all obj but only one will be distanced 5m, i need all to be 5m (not 4.95 becouse i move from one cener). How to move every obj from his cener? Thanks in advance.

This is where a DWG file showing your content (before and after) comes in handy: sounds like how you are measuring is the problem if your x,y,z MOVE command actions are truly applicable to all of those objects.

To simulate before and after, use COPY command then change the colors of the moved objects.

TIA

Maybe I expressed myself badly, what is it really about: I have arranged objects (lamps) along the highway, and need to move them from their centers 2m, if I want to move them all at once, which seems impossible with the MOVE command, without additional plug-in or lispa. With my drawing and MOVE command everything is fine but obviously i will have to move object by object. Thanks for your reply.

Are you using plain AutoCAD for your highway lighting project?

Is your highway perfectly flat and 100% straight with no bends? That's about the only time using MOVE as you wish to do so will work otherwise there are way to many nuances involved for each location that would make that quite impossible to achieve.

If you want to see about plug-ins you can start here https://apps.autodesk.com/en
If you want to try LISP, you still need to post your DWG file but you can ask over here https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/visual-lisp-autolisp-and-general/bd-p/130

HTH

I use plain AutoCAD.

That's right. This is exactly the problem because the highway is of course not perfectly flat and there are turns, and that was my topic of the post is.

I have already looked at these links but i was unlucky.

Thanks for the effort and answers!

It's not really possible in just AutoCAD. I believe it is possible in Infraworks (part of the AEC Collection).

Another issue you'll have to deal with is that the spacing between the lamps will change. It will increase on the outside of curves and decrease on the inside.

If your lamps are blocks. You might consider running a polyline through the lamps. Maybe it's parallel to the CenterLine. Offset the polyline the required distance. Then use the Measure command to place the blocks along the offset polyline at the correct separation.

If the lights had been blocks arrayed along a path, then the path itself could be manipulated rather than the location of the individual objects. Some objects like 3dpolys and splines can be 3d.
