Maybe something is wrong beside what we've said.

I have been attempting for several days to utilize the "align" command in ACAD3D, but I have been unsuccessful in achieving the desired results. My research on YouTube has primarily yielded tutorials focused on aligning two boxes, which does not address my specific needs. Therefore, I am seeking assistance on how to align four cylinders along with a box cylinder.

Note: Final image-What it is supposed to look like. Alignment of Objects-What I have been getting. Alignment drawing-The CAD file

How can it be complicated ?

An operation that lasts 6 clicks (do we agree ?)

My question :

Do you, eventualy, opportunely I would say, SHIFT+Right to choose the appropriate objectsnap, each of those 6 clicks.

That would be my advice to a beginner.

Give it a try. If you are unsuccessfull, it would mean that you didn't respect the steps : point 1 from->to*, point 2 from->to** and point 3 from->to***

* CENters

**QUAdrants

***other QUAdrants

(for instance)

I followed your instructions precisely by aligning the two cylinders using the six clicks/steps provided. I also utilized the shift-left click to locate the quadrant and repeated the same process for the other cylinder as I moved through the alignment steps.

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE that you name a .jpg "after hitting Enter" ??? 😏

Did I tell you to hit ENTER at any time ?

6 clicks. No ENter. 🤔

Are you sure you made 6 clicks ? And not 4 then .... I don't know.

Because you seem to be on the good way when I see the first images....

In such a case you would repeat the command because the command should be ended.

😶

Did you click 6 points ?

Are you sure those two times three points (beginning or ending the pairs) are not aligned and define a real plane ?

In other words, what Autocad says, finaly ?

(this topic send us far due to my lazyness to show the 6 clicks)

Yes I used 6 points then hit Enter to complete the alignment. Although CAD didn't like the third point on the initial object, but it did allow me to click on the second object back to the first (clicks 5 and 6).

It seems like I am missing one picture file. I will need to find that one tomorrow. That picture just shows the destination object (1st click) to the original cylinder (2nd click) as AutoCAD would not allow the other way around (the proper way).
