Manual dimension entry

Hi,

I would like to have a Dimstyle that I can use for special dimensions. I would like to enter the dimension manually (aclaully it will be letters). I know I can dimension my objects and then change the propertie of the dimension (Override dimension). But this will be one more step in my operation.

Do you know how I can modify the Dimstyle to have it all in one step or do you have other solutions?

Are you just trying to "fudge" or overwrite an actual dim when you are done clicking your dimension? Or something else? Explain or post screenshots (before and after).

You could create custom dimension Toolbar or Ribbon\Panels:-

[Hor and Vert]^C^Cdimlinear \\Text

[Aligned]^C^Cdimaligned \\Text

[Angular]^C^Cdimangular \\Text

[Diameter]^C^Cdimdiameter \Text

[Radius]^C^Cdimradius \Text

these macros pauses for text value before you pick the final position of dimension.
