missing dialog box for insert blocks

I am struggling in my AutoCAD class. One thing I just noticed is that I do not have a dialog box when I click on "insert" in the "blocks" tab. I am trying to follow my instructor, but even things like this throw me off course. How do I get the "Insert" dialog box to show up?

In general there are system variables control dialog appearing in AutoCAD >> Click << . but i think in your case you may need to :

To get the dialog back to the left side of the screen, press Alt+Spacebar and a drop down menu appears that consists of Move, Size and Close as activated options.
Select the 'Move' option and hit Enter. Now the dialog is in 'Move' mode.
You can use the Arrow Keys on your keyboard to move the dialog to the right place on your screen for use.

Share a Screenshot of your whole Desktop after INSERT command.

Which version do you have?

And your teacher?

If you are running 2020 or 2021, but your teacher an older one(hopeful not),

INSERT opens the new BLOCK PALETTE

(instead the old CLASSICINSERT dialog)

Are you on a MAC, using AutoCAD for MAC?
Did you ask your instructor for help?
