Hello again, @rataylor ,

Turning on a toolbar constitutes a change to your current Workspace. Assuming the toolbar is defined in a CUI that is currently loaded in your profile, you can do this either in the CUI editor (as I described in your other post), or you can do this within the drawing editor interface, by right-clicking on a blank area where toolbars might normally be docked, selecting the name of the CUI (menu) that contains the toolbar, and then selecting the name of the toolbar you want turned on. You can then re-position the toolbar if necessary.

If any of this is difficult for you to follow, then I strongly suggest you seek out a more direct "training" source that can provide you the one-on-one attention you seem to need, which this type of forum is not really well-suited for.

I created a toolbar that I want to use on a different computer. How do I transfer a toolbar from one computer to another? The customization file is in the CUI dialog box. How do you turn it on such that it is always there when I open a drawing? Toolbar creation and utilization was really easy with 2004 and I struggle with the "new and improved" toolbar creation and using procedures.

On your second question, I think you mean you would like the CUI open whenever you open a drawing. I think the only way to do that is to set up a script that will run whenever you open a drawing.

No, I just want my toolbar to come on. I just type CUI on the command line if want to open the CUI dialog box.

Thank you for letting me know about the link. I am not sure why it appeared dead for you, I was able to open it after posting. I updated the link so it should be good now.

Thank you also for the clarification. Toolbars can be called up from the TOOLBARS command by name. You can also access them from the Tools tab in the Menubar when it is active (set to 1).
