Trim command crossing window not working

I have been using the Trim/Extend command for 10+ years and I've never run across this problem. I am out of ideas so I am asking for help. The problem is when I use the Trim/Extend command it will not let me select multiple lines to trim or extend all at once. Instead it is making me trim or extend 1 line at a time.

Patchy - I tried PICKADD as well. Thank you for the suggestion. I've also made sure to check properties as well as options. I just cannot figure this one out.

Will it not allow you to make a window to select multiple objects? If so check your PICKDRAG variable and try setting it to 2

i suggest to change your PICKAUTO System Variable [ Initial value = 5 ] . >> Click <<

If you have a newish version of AutoCAD perhaps try LTGAPSELECTION set to 1 ?

If your lines are not a continuous line type then this might be it. Just a stab in the dark.

Just type in that system variable name, if you have it then it will work. I don't have my computer on to look up when that was added.

ThE variable LTGAPSELECTION was added in the 2017 release.
