Your Viewport's viewing scale is very peculiar [here, from its Properties]:

And the linear-measurement scale factor on the 340 and 680 Dimensions is the inverse, compensating for that:

The fact that it's negative means it applies only to Dimensions in paper space [see Help for the DIMLFAC System Variable]. That value for the 5.0751 Dimension is 1, which is the default, and is the distance in paper space. How the others got their odd scale factor, I couldn't say.

If you want them to agree, they need to have the same linear scale factor as each other. I would suggest you set the Viewport scale at something more standard, and the compensation for that in a linear scale factor for Dimensions in paper space will be easier to understand. For instance, if you set the Viewport's scale to 1:100, and change the linear scale factor of all the Dimensions to 100 [which you can either for them individually, or in the definition of the Dimension Style], all will be "clean."

Hi everyone,

I'd like to know what the source of my problem is and how to solve it, becaues I can't find a solution.

I have the following situation:

I start a new drawing and draw a 3D object. After that, I insert a block from another application (where the block is generated with lines and areas) and create a new layout.

Both objects have the same size!

The problem occurs when adding the measurements in the layout.

For the 3D object everything is fine, because the dimension is shown with its original value - 340 in the example.

But if I add a measurement for the block, then AutoCad uses a scale factor. But I don't know where this is saved and how i can get rid of it.

What I'd like is, that the value of the block measurement is also 340, without me changing the scale factor manually.

Any ideas?

I've attached a sample file.

it may have something to do with the scale of your viewport. If you set to to an actual scale (say 1:100) and then dimension, the two come out the same its really strange if you look at the dimscale units for the two dimensions, one shows 66 and some change, the other shows 1.

Oh...thought I have set the viewport to 1:40, but maybe changed it by accident. Sorry.

But maybe another approach, as the answers go into another direction.

I've just set the viewport scale to 1:100. I understand why the block value is 3.4 (=340 / 100).

But what I don't understand: I'm doing the exact same thing for the 3D object and the block. So I would expect both values to be 340. Why does the block-measurement behave like this?

I know that I can set it individually to have it 340 by correction of the scale - but why do I have to to this? Why can't it be in the same scale as the 3D object directly after inserting the measurement?

DIMASSOC set to 2 picks the scale from model space, if you grab the node of the previous dimension and not the object in modelspace it will dimension the paperspace distance. This has been spotty, it doesnt do it all the time, but this is usually the cause.
