Alignspace - command not allowed unless 'Tilemode' set to '0'

I m using AutoCAD 2016. I tried to use alignspace command but its not working. It shows an error message - command not allowed unless 'Tilemode' set to '0'. I tried to change Tilemode to 0 but the error continues. Can anyone helps?

Type in

Command: TILEMODE<enter>

press [F1]

Read what "Tilemode" is..

Command: ALIGNSPACE<enter>

press [F1]

Read what "ALIGNSPACE" is..

Then switch to a LAYOUT, check your tilemode value now

and if you have a viewport, try it again with your alignspace command.

Hi alignmode only works in viewports placed in layouts and the tilemode only place you in a layout or model space
