Use part of layout name in attribute

Hi,

Can someone point me, or write, field expression so that i can achieve this:

Name of layout: XXXX "1/3"
Attribute: 1/3

I've been looking around and didnt saw anything familiar.

As far as I know, you cannot enter characters like / \ ? : " ; * <> and few more characters in layout name. May I ask how you have entered the "1/3" in the layout name? Can you share a snapshot of the same?

Sorry, I didnt check that. I just made up scenario. It could be any kind of numeration for distinguishing lets say "This is drawing one out of three." like Drawing 1.3 ..

How should i edit field expression to achieve that?

The layout name is contained in the system variable CTAB. Look for the system variables under the fields list dropdown on the left.

I know that, but i want to use just part of it... If ctab is DRAWING 1.2,in my attribute i want to use 1.2 only

It's not exactly what you are talking about but a diesel expression is probably what you are after.
