I am a bit confused. You say you do want to use different page setup's. If these page setup's are linked to the default AutoCAD pdf's styles for low/middle/high quality then you could make use of these different preset pdf's and link the page setup to your layouts. You still have a multi-sheet PDF with different DPI settings per page setup.

See image 1) and 2) or am i missing something?
Are you using a third party PDF printer? if so have you tried the default PDF settings?

I want to publish to one PDF using multiple page setups. I understand that I can choose PDF instead of plot to page setup and have it plot to one PDF using different page setups. However, it uses the same PDF driver for all sheets. The main reason I want to use multiple page setups is to use different drivers with some having a higher DPI for sheets with PDFs attached or with special fonts. When I use PDF instead of plot to page setup it sets the override driver for all sheets, regardless of what is in the page setup.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

AutoCAD only does it the one way.
If you want to do it your way, go grab a freeware 3rd party software that combines individual PDF files into one, there are dozens out there, help yourself https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+combine+pdf+files

Plot to "Plotter Named in Page Set-Up". If the desired page set-ups are current, you just need to make your list and plot. Afterwards, you can combine the PDFs into one file.

That is generally what we have been doing. My question is to find a way around having to combine them as an added step.
