Text wont rotate when editting

I needed an MTEXT rotated at 270. But whenever I try to edit it, it does not go back to its original horizontal position. This is the first time I've encountered this problem. Thanks!

it could be the text you are trying to rotate is a civil 3d label and not mtext?txs

as much as i understand your issue ... I suggest to check MTEXTFIXED (System Variable) and see if it's help .

I made a new MTEXT then rotated it to 270. It's still not rotating
horizontally when I edit it
