Clean up the extra vertices

Clean up the extra vertices in the spline or polyline which they are in a straight line.

If anyone can help.. I have so many spline and poliyline with a lot of vertices.

For Polylines, OVERKILL can remove extra vertices that are in a straight line:

The article that @imadHabash posted a link to has a link to a thread with multiple routines, one of which is called WEED [for "heavy" Polylines only], and another of which is mine called PLDIET.lsp [for "Lightweight" ones], which also will remove vertices between collinear line segments.

But I don't know of a way to do it with Splines [I tried OVERKILL on one like that, and it didn't remove any of the control points]. You can do it manually by grip-editing:

but if you remove any too close to the end of a straight stretch, it can change the Spline's shape. Maybe something like PLDIET could be made for straight stretches of a Spline, but I would be reluctant to try for anything else, because of the effect on the shape.
