Hi -

I changed the default font from a shx to ttf in text styles and texts got updated automatically.

However, I'm noticing that text line weight looks inconsistent both in model view and plotted(see screenshot below).

I ran RE command, cleared all text format and matched text properties, but didn't work.

Any idea what's causing the issue here and solutions?

Thank you!

Check the "Z" value on those funky looking text objects (should be 0.0), also check to make sure that no font substitution has been applied to those objects.

Hi thanks for answering! The FLATTEN command worked for text callouts but caused misalignment in detail bugs and the text still looks different in them...

Please see attached for the test file. In this file, I ran FLATTEN for some of the callouts and detail bugs but all those callouts got exploded... and the line weight still don't look right in detail bugs..

A possible reason: .TTF fonts when used at width factors other than 1 can "look" bolder on-screen. If you are using a Style with a non-1 width factor in the definition, or you have changed the width factor of any Text/Mtext content, you may see that apparent boldness, but in my experience it doesn't plot bolder.

i see that your attribute text has a Width factor = 0.85 , try to change it to 1 .

Go back to the file before you ran FLATTEN, set UCS and PLAN to WORLD, then try FLATTEN again.

BTW rotate your view to FRONT or BACK and see those floating annotations yourself, far above the rest of your 2D flat drawing.
