Thank you @CGBenner I have been reinstalling Autocad as a seemingly short-term solution to the problem, as it seems after a few days after the fresh install the issue comes back. The printer is a network Sharp printer, not sure the model, but we have only had it ~a year so its relatively new. The drivers are up to date. I can plot single sheets without any issue, it only happens with multi-page publish jobs. And this happens on files that are not new that had worked just fine the day previously.

I have been having this issue just recently. When I "publish" multiple tabs on a drawing to my office printer, the print job never completes. This has been going on for about 3 weeks. Every time I end up reinstalling and it fixes the issue short term, then after a few days the issue resumes.

Does anyone else have this issue? And I was wondering if anyone has any way to fix this more permanently and without having to reinstall?

Thanks.

Thank you for the reply,

I have tried creating new Page setups, and then the obvious: restarting Autocad as well as my computer, trying a different file to see if it is file specific.

Publishing to network printer, drivers up to date, relatively new printer (purchased 2023/24 not sure exact date.)

I have not tried turning off background publishing. I will try this immediately the next time I encounter the issue.

Product Version: S.191.0.0 AutoCAD 2022.1.5 I will note that I had only encountered this issue after installing this update as it has been relatively a recent problem.

Ive solved this temporarily by turning off multiple processor publishing. Background publishing is much slower than before as only one core is being used. I think its a only a temp workaround that autocad should fix - bring back background publishing and multiple core publishing.

Also at what cost? By disabling multiple core processing I assume people will experience a general computing performance penalty. It's unfortunate that Autodesk cannot provide a fix to this issue that doesn't require these steps and potential sacrifices. Thanks anyway. We will try to play around with this.
