I am trying to delete the 2 that are intersecting and still keep the crossing board as completed figure

I’ve tried slice, I’ve tried subtract, interfere, Ive looked everything. I am no pro with autoCAD, really trying to teach myself and get comfortable with it before I graduate and have never been so stuck. Can you maybe walk me through it?

Use command Presspull or extrude and"punch " thru the part you want to get a hole.

Then use Subtract command.

guess the video didnt load

draw a line where you want to cut it at

make sure the line is longer than the object

extrude that line through the object

start slice command

select the board as object to slice

right click then choose surface from the command line options

it will ask you with side you want to keep just select booth

delete the cutting plane and you should have two pcs delete the one you don't want

So I got the outside corners figured out now im trying to figure out the middles ones, I know that I could just delete and redo to get it how I want it but I’m trying to learn the ins and outs. This is my first time working with 3D

I guess I'm a little confused what you want.

You want the 45 degree board to be a hole or an empty space?

If I understand what you want to do, SLICE is the command do to it. How did you try Slice, i.e. what steps and options?

If the gate [or whatever it is] is upright in 3D with the XY plane like the ground or floor, I would:

Start SLICE; pick the diagonal board [and Enter to complete selection].

Choose the XY option [to slice with a plane parallel to the XY plane of the coordinate system].

Pick at point A [or the front-side equivalent] to set the cutting plane location for the bottom end.

For the side to keep, pick at some location known to be on the correct side, such as the midpoint at B.

Repeat at the upper end. The result after both SLICEs is on the right.

If it's not oriented as I assume, but is at least orthogonally oriented in some direction, it's just a choice of the appropriate slicing plane -- parallel to the coordinate system's XY, YZ or ZX plane.
