It's been a few years since I've been on any of the AutoDesk or AutoCad forums but life keeps moving things around is all I can say.

Anyway, since I've finally stepped away from the travelling jobs to places like Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Dublin, IR, I'm doing my own thing. I advertise on Craigslist here locally in the Pacific North Wet about drawing plans for people wanting to do everything from floor plans, to full sets of plans for houses, etc..

For a while it seemed like marijuana grow facilities was the hot thing and the phone was going crazy. That's quieted down but, now it seems like Pole Barns are the thing to build. I've got 6 projects in my email box asking for plans. I've seen a lot of grainy hand drawings from various universities but, I'm looking for a decent set of plans and details I can use and/or modify so I'm not reinventing the wheel..

House plans are easy peasy, slap a couple of lines 5" apart and call it a 2x4 stud wall. throw some rafters on the roof with one side of the rafter being 1-1/2" from the other side (I actually wrote a quick lisp routine called 2x that offsets a line at 1-1/2" to the side I pick second.. Then made more lisp routines for 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, etc.)

SO if anyone has a set of plans with some good details, that would be a big help. Maybe we can swap some plans and elevations?? That or a website that has plans available.. Maybe a book you'd recommend for designing pole barns?? drop me a note at grumpygrizzly at gmail . com.. Of course you'll have to figure out that top secret code as to my email address (insert shifty eyes emoticon here)..
