I have been experiencing slow mouse movement issue on new AutoCAD 2022. on AutoCAD 2021 or 2020 it works fine without problems. I even reinstalled windows and autocad 2022... Still nothing works. All drivers are uptodate.

When i start autocad 2022 with Intel UHD Graphics no problems. But with nvidia 1660ti i have slow mouse movement.

If i disable hardware acceleration to off mouse is back to normal but I don't want to do it because the image is distorted.

So i want to keep using 1660ti like before. any solutions?

The Certified Graphics Hardware list hasn't been updated for 2022 as of this writing, but it's a sure bet your 1660Ti won't be covered. That means Autodesk is under no obligation to provide support for the card. In my experience, though, they don't provide any useful support for certified cards either, so the only thing I know of that you can do is to wait to see if NVIDIA releases an updated driver for your card.

Same here on my Dell G7 with 2070. reinstalled (evaluation) from scratch doesn't solve nothing. Monstrous imput lag and stutter on mouse movement. Tried new profile, no-grid, intel and Nvidia updates, full uninstall and reinstall, no luck. The only question is...mouse is a primary movement when just open program...someone tested 2022 release on "human" computer? or only on i9 with quadro's?

Found a temporary workaround, go on hardware acceleration trough AutoCAD bar and turn it off.

Hey, i think a lot of people experiencing this problem now. and they will. i hope autodesk ot nvidia releases a hotfix for this.

btw i can give you better TEMP solution, start autocad with INTEL not NVIDIA. that way you will have "smooth" cursor and "good visual" but performance will not be good as nvidia.

Hi,

not a solution, just as my experience, I have a GTX1070 and I have no issues with AutoCAD 2022.

The difference might be that

I'm not using the newest driver

I have not an Intel HD in my system (disabled by hardware switch, so not seen by OS) ... and this could be an issue that AutoCAD sees 2 graphic cards if I understand your situation correct.

This is my driver info:

Side story ... the new (beta) graphic mode (command 3DTECHPREVIEW) is much slower than other visual style modes like "Realistic", tried on a 500MB dwg-file based on Mesh objects.

1) i tested with your driver version, did not solve my issue

2) i think its not about driver version or gpu. since even rtx 2070 has this problem. it must be about autocad

3) tested by disabling intel completely did not solve my issue

4) idk if its about 3dtechpreview or not but it must be solved because even RTX cards have problem with this

i've tried with your driver version with no luck, still the same problem, that occour even with an empty acadiso. Cannot disable intel UHD because all recent notebooks have LCD binded to Intel, and Nvidia as slave, there's obviously no option to disable (yes, system is under performance mode all the time so Nvidia is always recalled, is a work/gaming laptop, so is setted with max power output). The weird thing is that AC2019/2020/2021 works like a charm. So must be an 2022 issue related but our systems "not certified" are hard to be supported.

I'm having exact issue and tried same things too... btw our systems or gpus are not being certificated means nothing because it is obious autodesk only tests or gives certificate to quadro GPU's. But in reality even big architecture firms don't use that for daily usage. they are for final phase if u even need them.

So i wonder if or when will autodesk look at this thread and answer to us.

thank you, yes it solved the issue by forcing autocad2022 to use directx 11 instead of directx 12. But i am not going to mark this thread as solved since this is a workaround and autocad/nvidia oı posibly microsoft should deal with this problem.

There is an easier method. Use the AutoCAD System Variable:

GFXDX12 and set that to 0

This will revert to DX11 on restart of AutoCAD.
