How to get continuous arc dimension in AUTOCAD

Hi I upload two images in image 1 the arc dimension is continuous which i shighlighted in green colour and in image 2 arc dimension is not continuous which I CRCLED THE GAP BETWEEN DIMENSION LINES.I want to know if there is a way for continuous arc dimension in AUTOCAD.

Each standard (AFAIK) says for the arc length dimension:

- If the center angle of the arc is <90° draw the extension lines parallel

- if the center angle of the arc is >=90° draw the extension lines directed to the center point. Exactly that was done in your images. I don't know a way do change this (correct) behavior of the software.

(The only possible workaround: Draw a angle dimension and overwrite the dimension text. But I'd not recommend that, because the not associative text (the value) will not be updated if you modify the geometry. )

Hi,

The extension lines of an arc length dimension can be orthogonal or radial based on the angle of the arc . So i think that your issue not applicable .

I don't like it either. The above-noted workaround is the way I do it.

The text could be a field, so it's not entirely dead.
