Causes: Fatal errors have a variety of causes. They often indicate a corrupt drawing, program corruption, browser was not properly configured, or a problem with the system configuration.

Did you try and restart your computer?
Did you try and use RECOVER command inside AutoCAD to open and fix your file?

No issues @Anonymous if you have marked @Pointdump post as accepted solution this time, but in future, maybe people won't open it as it is marked SOLVED..
