attributes appear small

I have some users that insist on using an annotative block with multiline attributes and a dynamic point. The problem is for one user the attributes show up tiny after every open... if she grip edits the block in the slightest, it appears fine again for only that block and only that session. See screenshots and attached dwg file (saved by her so it's a corrupt one). Block name is CL but I think it happens with other block definitions too.

Using Civil 3D 2018 but it's apparent in Autocad 2018 as well. Updates didn't fix either.

Any suggestions? Already compared sysvars and profiles.

Your drawing is not drawn at 1:1 it is 1000 times smaller and the dimensions have a scale factor of 1000 applied to them. The block was most likely created at 1:1 for use in drawing drawn 1:1. If you scale everything in the drawing by 1000 the block are fine. I would recommend drawing everything 1:1 and scale with viewports in the layout. I'm not even sure how you can apply an annotative scale 0f 1:50 to a drawing drawn 1:1000 and get anything to work properly

SO what is that one user running for software (or add-ons) or preconfigured startups or special tools that n one else in the office is using or doing? That seems to be the issue. Could also be settings for ANNOALLVISIBLE or ANNOAUTOSCALE maybe?

Setting CANNOSCALE in the file you posted to 1:1, then back to 1:50, followed by QSAVE seems to have fixed the issue of "...the attributes show up tiny after every open..." when I completely close and open AutoCAD then this file over and over again in AutoCAD 2018-19-20-21-22 here for me, so this goes back to being something unique to your one single solitary user. Not sure we can help you way over here.

Thanks. Fairly new user with new install, they actually reinstalled 2018 products to try and fix already so no add ons or verticals. We can all fix the issue similar to how you've suggested but it still opens as it's shown in the corrupt image for that particular user. I'm not sure if you noticed but the problem only occurs on multiline attributes... I've asked them to avoid wherever possible but again, they insist it's necessary here (I'm not seeing it).

I have a hunch it could simply be a graphics card issue with the one user's computer. Worth a try at this point.

The block definition looks good. It is annotative but has no annotative elements inside it. This should work. Typically these problems occur when the block definition and its attributes are both annotative. Use attsync and select the block reference to fix the problem. Somewhere along the line, the block definition got fixed but that doesn't fix the existing block references.

In that case, wipe that PC clear and start over, and ask your IT to create an all new account log-in for them as well.

All 2018s have updates that are totally required, a must: ensure that was completed, updates from Autodesk are never automatic.

They did do full reimage of the computer as well.

We ran all avail updates as well.

Have someone else who has no issues on their PC to log into that problem computer as themselves and try to replicate the issue that is unique to this one user: can they?
