Unfolding a solid cylinder

Hi. I need to unfold a "SOLID" cylinder in AutoCAD basic. Is that possible. If not can anyone advise?

Hi. Thanks for your reply.

My initial message was a bit misleading. Its not actually a cylinder I need to unfold. I've attached a jpg that may help explain it better.

Basically that strip you see in green has been designed crudely in 3d but in order to make it, we need to be able to calculate what the strip would be if it were cut from

a flat sheet. We can do it the old fashioned way by that takes a wee bit of time. So I was hoping there was a way it could be done in CAD. I've seen some stuff online but I thought I'd ask the real pros. 😉

other CAD programs but not Autocad.
