Hi, there I'm still pretty new to AutoCAD and have run into an issue with my dimensions in AutoCAD 2018. I have to annotate a property boundary and it was working fine until I saved and reopened the document the next day. Every time that I try to create any kind of dimension the line appears in a completely different spot outside the viewport and no text is visible. What is also weird is that the line always appears in the same place outside the view just varying in lengths. See the photos attached. Thank you in advance

Your viewcube in the upper right of the cad window shows you are not in the world UCS and are also looking at the back view and not the top. Type PLAN at command line hit enter and type W for the world ucs and hit enter. Then UCS enter and W and enter to get back to world ucs.
