This is going to sound stupid, and I know I should know this, but...

Some of my drawing borders are off their origin point, they print such that the border line starts from the lower left corner, there is no border margin. Some are fine, so it's on a per-use basis. How do I reset this for all the affected borders?

Obvious, simple perhaps, but hey, at least I'm giving you guys an easy one to start your Tuesday with.

Cheers,

MarkFitz

Are you plotting from paperspace or modelspace?
What is the WHAT TO PLOT choices being selected?

And did you notice there is a Plot Origin settings in PAGESETUP and PLOT commands: are they different for each of the incorrect ones? What about drivers?

@MarkFitz Why is your titleblock (orange outline) not centered on the paper outline shown? AutoCAD will not slide it over to be centered automagically when printed, you have to do it yourself.

I like your wording, by the way, knowing you at least as well as I do from our question and answer sessions on here, I somehow doubt "autoMAGICally" was a typo on your part...

So then why is the checkbox for centering the drawing to the printout usable during extents mode, but not during layout mode, if both views can be set at a 1:1 scale ratio? This would resolve all issues. Should I be using extents at a 1:1 scale and centering it, rather than using layout, as a general rule? I've been using layout as it's setup at 1:1 scale already, it's just that somewhere along the way the origin point got skewed. Is there a way of locking the origin point once set, to prevent this kind of thing from happening the next time I trip up?

Thanks,

Mark

If the corner of your title block is at (0,0) and your plot offset is at (0,0), this is what your going to get. One of them has to change or use a different plot setting that can utilize the center option. Look at AutoCAD help or search for tutorials on plotting for more extensive information on all of the options available.
