Mini PC or Classic Desktop ?

I replied to this post but it did not respond to the post so I am reposting with the original one and what I have asked.

I'm going to buy a pc to run Autocad Architecture.

I'm looking at: INTEL NUC5i7RYH with i7-5557U and IRIS 6100

or GYGABYTE BRIX GB-BXi7G3 with i7-4710HQ and NVIDIA GTX760

Are them enough powerful to run Autocad (full 3D) or I need to move to a larger (and more "power hungry") cabinet to fit a more "conventional" desktop hardware ? Is it more "safe" to choose a solution with replaceable Graphic card so I can update my system for future Autocad releases ?

At that time no one gave their answer.

Now 6 years later I would like to bring the question back: MINI PC or Classic Desktop

Has anyone worked in AutoCAD using a MINI PC?

If so can you give us a detailed usage report?

Agree.

But was hoping for some real time users and see what their experiences have been using AutoCAD on a Mini.

I found this site that rates their top 10 but still real time users experiences would be better I believe.

Mini's are fine if you're ordering dozens from a large supplier (e.g. Dell, HP) to stock an office. Everything will basically be the same, and replacements won't be much of an issue, since any hardware problems will most likely be solved by replacing the entire box anyways.

If this is a single user, then I would prefer a standard desktop. I'd also prefer it for anything to do with rendering, for better air flow. It's also easier to custom order to suit e.g. getting a GPU more current than a GTX760. I also prefer a full-size tower, as it's easier to do any work inside (whether you're doing it yourself or having someone else handle it) and you can put it on the floor with the front-side USB and other ports within reach from sitting.
