Hello everyone.. I have this homework but I couldnt do it, I know how to draw the ortographic views but I can not understand it if only the 2 views are given. Can someone please please help me with these two examples? Appreciate it if someone could help😪

While it’s totally OK to ask for guidance, it’s better to show what you’ve reached so far so others can help you learn—not just give you the answer. Additionally, this looks like a manual drafting assessment where AutoCAD usage is not allowed.

While I believe you are right, I have literally zero progress because I can not understand the third view and without that I can not draw the main object. Also no it is actually allowed they even shared a doc but I just uploaded a screenshot because I could not understand how to download and upload the doc here lol

The trick here is to start imagining the 3D shape then you can get the other views.

Thank you for posting this. I have not seen 3D projection in years, so this is a a joy to see.

Projection lines are needed from the two views to help generate the 3D view located at the top right. In AutoCAD, you would need the tool XLINE with the combination of snaps to create the “Projection Line”.

I am expecting that most of this was reviewed during the class, but if not it is always okay to ask questions.

I'm sure the teacher must've explained the process in class.
Like Gil said, use a pencil to draw the projection lines.
Top image is the front view, Right image is the side view, you are to combine both to create the top (plan) view.

The dotted red lines is likely a cut out rectangle.

Seems to me it needs more hidden lines to get the correct shape.

For the first problem I suggest starting by sketching an isometric box with a width of 9, depth of 6, and a height of 5.

Determine what might be at a height of 5 and sketch that on the top of the isometric box. What geometry is at an elevation of 4? Sketch that on a plane 1 unit down from the top. Once you have that the rest of the object should take shape. Some trial and error might be needed to get a shape that satisfies the orthographic views that are provided.

If you get back to the origin post you will find that the question is written in the paper to find the front side, am i right?

It appears that there is insufficient information to correctly determine the second shape. I think the shape below is more likely as it would require the addition of only one hidden line instead of two

Hey, I know what you mean. If you only have two views, it can be tricky to visualize the 3D object. I can help you understand how to interpret them and maybe sketch a simple 3D outline from those views so it makes sense.
