What if instead of Bluebeam you use one of the built in AutoCAD pdf drivers like DWG To PDF.pc3?

Also instead of using the Bluebeam viewer try another to see if the problem is with Bluebeam?

I see that you're not using any pen assignments (CTB or STB) when you PLOT.

Should you be using a CTB or STB to plot?

AutoCAD 2022 not plotting transparency?

Hey guys,

I've looked at a few previous threads, but they didn't solve my issues, e.g. this: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/transparency-not-plotted-when-using-publish-comand/m-p/9357949#M1012215

I have a floor plan exported from Revit, that appears in CAD as a solid block - I have it on one layer, with transparency set to '90' in layer properties, so that it's fully faded.

On the other hand, I have the title block and specific components on the actual floor plan that needed to remain in bold. I put them on another layer, with transparency set to '0'. There was a dozen of other layers, all set to '90' to ensure it's all faded, leaving only what I needed in bold. (see attached photos)

When I look at the Layout space in CAD - everything looks great, but when I plot it to 'Bluebeam PDF' my title block loses its predetermined transparency of '0' and blends in with the rest of the faded objects. Why doesn't CAD honour transparency (bold) for title block? It's on the same layer as the tags?

Thanks in advance!

Alex

Hey guys,

Thanks for your replies. I need to reload DWG to PDF.pc3 file - they're in a shared location somewhere on my organization's mapped drives. I actually forgot about it - so used to Bluebeam now. But it could be the solution.

As for ctb or stb - these are also shared somewhere. Gotta find them and I'll report back.

AutoCAD comes with a few default ctb and stb files. But since you received these dwgs from Revit then they should come with their own ctb usually saved in the same folder assuming the export has properly assigned the penweights.

Interesting. I received the .dwg copy over email to work with, so I assume I'm going to have to find out if my company has pre-configured .ctb files somewhere. I used to use monochrome.ctb all the time, but none appear in my plotter style table anymore.

Unfortunately a pmp file is not what you need to create the pdf. This file type contains custom changes that may be referenced by the Dwg To Pdf.pc3 file.
Perhaps you can recreate your own by following these instructions assuming you have the rights to do so with your windows profile.
