I want to make a nut and used the subtract tool to get rid of the bolt part that was overlapped on the nut, but instead of getting the threads on the inside it gives this strange pattern instead?

I do believe the threads are there. That is just drawing the V line with extra lines due to being curved.

Do this, Slice the Nut in half and do a front view. I bet the thread are there like angled lines.

Hope this helps.

JRR.
