And why do you cancel ?

ESC is CANCEL, there is no need to cancel a command in AutoCAD, close or exit a command, Cancal = [ESC] is for Noobs&Trolls 😛

Back to the topic:

LINE has no option for a new first point. exit the command (by SPACE or Enter), restart the last command (by SPACE or Enter).

In Short, draw your line, 1 point, 2 point, <space>, <space>
