Inserts Wrong Block

Using AutoCAD 2021 on Windows platform. I have set my insert to the classic insert. I have created a template that is dynamic for multiple sheet sizes with no blocks loaded and only my company layers. Here is the issue I have; If I were to insert a block for a 2x10 joist (by typing the block name in the insert dialog box), the correct block inserts, but if I insert a 2x6 block next (also by typing the block name) the 2x10 joist inserts instead. Same thing happens if I insert the 2x6 block first. I can use the browse to select the correct block and it inserts correctly, but as soon as I type the block, I get the last block I inserted. I only use the 2x10 and 2x6 blocks as an example. This happens with every block. Purging everything makes no difference.

First of all - why the EXPLODE option? You should wblock your dynblocks, not have dynblock within a file.

The issue happens only when the Explode option is on. Not sure why.

Then in case that the first letters are the same as of the previous block, it matches the path and... then it probably can't be fixed unless you hit the Browse button and do it manually...

The workaround could be to start with a different char, enter the name, go back, and remove the initial char.

See HERE

When I created the dynblock I wblocked when it was done. I had the explode selected to reduce the steps when inserting typical details (one less command), but it's no big deal to explode the block if it is needed to modify them for specific conditions. Thank you for noticing this small checkbox. I had this problem before, then it seemed to go away, then it started up again and it never occurred to me checking EXPLODE was the culprit.

I was "hunting" to show I was pulling the blocks from the same folder. I only have 1 location for these blocks.
