How to recover drawing that previously deleted drawing and safe the file on the same name?

I have mistakenly delete some drawing in Cad file and click Safe... how Can i get those drawing back ? Appreciate anyone who can help me .

Hi,

You can search for another copy for your CAD dwg file ... C:\Users\#user name#\AppData\Local\Temp you will find multi old files .. check dates to see which one is your need .. also you can rename .bak files for .dwg .

If you saVed it just one time after delete, look for another file at the same folder, same name, but fileextension is.bak instead .dwg.

Rename the file and file extension to lasthope.dwg (or if your file is a dxf, lasthope.dxf).

Good luck that you saved just one time after your edits.

Thank you so much for the info.. since I am using mac, I found the file at C:\users>"username">documents>autodesk>..

and I am able to recover my last email after I rename the bak file to DWG..

Appreciate it.. your hints is very usefull..

But also there, it's ever a good idea to post the productname and version first. 😀
