Viewport update not available

I just fixed the issue of not being able to see my dimension lines in the viewport in model space and now the Update Viewport options are greyed out. I have about 20 drawings set up and none of the layouts will update.

Show us: post your actual DWG file with the problem.

Are the viewports locked?

The viewports should be a live representation, meaning that no update is necessary. You may need to regenerate the view for some changes to show, if that is what you are talking about.
