Do a QSELECT and use the Express > Text > Convert to MText

Hi,

You can replace multi-line text with text , But after that you can convert this modified text to mtext by TXT2MTXT (Command) .

I guess you misunderstood

by using the command find/replace I want to replace a multiline text by another multiline text.

e.g. I have 10 mtext with a MTEXT "dog cat" and I want to replace it with "mouse bird":

This is only possible if there is no ENTER or BREAK between the words.

Yes, you can use FIND command to search for dog cat,then once found, replace it with mouse bird. Here's a video that demonstrates how it's done.

... provided the two lines in the Mtext are the result of word wrapping based on the width of the Mtext "box." If they are the result of an Enter/hard-return/line-feed, see Message 6 from @Valentin_CAD .

Of course that's true, but who said the OP has a hard return?

The OP said 10 instances of dog cat. See post #4. If there's a hard return then do it twice, first time for dog and second time for cat.

No one said they did, but we surmised the possibility, and wanted them to know of its effect on the issue. That's why Message 6 contains, and the second sentence in Message 9 starts with, "if."

Looking at the dog/cat image in Message 4, since it shows the width of the Mtext box, it looks very possible, [though it's close] that if there were no hard return involved, that content would fit in that width, and would not have word-wrapped to two lines.
