Exported PDF looks very differently to displayed picture in Autocad

Hi,

I have problems work exporting my work to pdf. The pdf is full of errors and it looks horribly compared to the direct view in Autocad. How can I optimize the process so the pdf will look good?

Try the monochrome.ctb when plotting.

Hi,

without your facts (DWG data) we have to guess 😞

My first tip, without the possibility to check your data:

Perhaps the color is differently: Select all and change the color to color7

(upload your DWG, better for helpers and better to solve your issue)

I remember that back in days I was using Autocad regularly we were advised by our lecturer to use monochrome but the option isnt there any more 😕

1. Look at your object COLOR, don't use 255,255,255 for black, it is white and not black 😉

Use Color 7 (or color ByLayer and set the layer color to 7)

2. Don't use GRADIENT if you want a mono-colored Solid-Hatch

(command HATCH, not Gradient)

3. Missing boundary around the left "solid hatch" (what is a gradient with colors 255,255,255 & 255,255,255 )

Thanks, your answer helped me and it is starting to look great. The only thing I dont know is what is the Color7 you are referring to?

In AutoCAD you can use "AutoCAD Index Colors" , the color "name" is from 1 to 255 (and color7 is black, displaying white on a black background in AutoCAD)

Start COLOR command, see the first tab

and you can use "TrueColor" colors, RGB/HLS, color names are like "211,230,0"

Start COLOR command, see the second tab

and you can use "ColorBook" colors, Named colors.., color names are like "Pantone red 0331 U"

Start COLOR command, see the third tab

As beginner, use Indexcolors only, as thumb rule it is a good hint.

To summarize things up for someone with a similar problem. When printing to pdf, I had to use a monochrome Plot style table as advised by @Valentin_CAD. Hatches were repaired by changing gradient type hatch to simple hatch and setting the color appropriately as advised by @cadffm.
