Pdf Plot problem w Dimlinear Arrows

Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone could help with small annoying issue i have when i plot DWG to PDF.

All my dimension arrows look like they are exceeding each end of dimension attachement lines when viewing the pdf with a pdf viewer. The visual problem disapears when i plot to paper. These days most of presenting in done online due to covid, and i am getting really annoyed with my proposals not looking as good as they could.

Doesnt matter which PDF printer or resolution i use; the problem persists across all pdf viewers...

Any thoughts ?

Hi,

when you start command _PLOT, below to the selected device (suggestion: "AutoCAD PDF (General Documentation).pc3") find button "PDF Options" ==> click it and inside the new dialog change the resolution to a higher value, like 2400 for vector quality.

Hi Alfred, i am cranking up the verctor quality to the max and it's still looking the same way.

I am wondering if your pdf plots have the same issue or do you you believe the is a setting issue on my end ?

I am trying to narrow down solutions... Thank you kindly!

Everything looks fine in the Autocad plot preview. But it looks weird in the PDF viewers...

@dany_rochefort Any reason you've opted not to share PDFs and source DWG files yet? Curious, when no one else can replicate your issue it might be a good time to share more specific content for them to test.

Here is a quick cad sketch with some dimensions and the equivalent pdf. Everything looks good on the plot preview, however dimension arrow overlap occurs while viewing the pdf w a pdf viewer.

The screenshot is what i am seeing in the pdf viewer. Cad and PFD are my source files.

@dany_rochefort What overlap? And who's really zooming in this close on your PDF? I suspect you are just seeing a limitation of screen displays and your lineweights

Right, that is your PDF viewer, nothing else.

And i am sure, if you zoom in, it looks well. Or?

And in Adobe products?

Pdf viewer was my issue. Microsoft Edge has has better options then Adobe viewer. However, vector visuals are not so great.

@dany_rochefort There is no issue, you are looking at a limitation of your screen and your PDF viewer, not much you can do about it in AutoCAD or from Autodesk.

Try other PDF Viewers and other monitors/display settings.

Yes... !! Turns out my problem is with the PDF viewer that i was using. I was using Microst Egde as my default because it has better functionalities the Adobe PDF Viewer. However, visual fidelity does seem to be an issue and my problem disappeared when i switched back to Adode.

You could surely replicate the problem if you open the pdf with Microsoft Edge...

[Got called away before posting, but it looks like the same conclusion as others...]

I see that in web browser [both MS Edge and FireFox] PDF viewers:

but not in a "real" one such as BlueBeam Revu:

So it would appear that the trouble is in the viewer, not in the .PDF file.

Exactly... I guess not all PDF viewers are created equal.

I love the simplicity and options available MS Edge pdf viewer has to offer. Adobe PDF Viewer totally encroaches on available screen space and wants to charge you a fee even thinking about a pdf...
