Hi,

I suggest to change the Width of those polylines first to Zero .. Now you can notice lineweight changes .

Hello

When I change the lineweight of a polyline in model space nothing changes.

The polyline only changes weight when exploded and reacts accordingly to properties after that.

Appearently it has nothing to do with scale. I checked everything: LTSCALE, CELTSCALE, MSLTSCALE, PLTSCALE, annotation scale, properties tab, global scale of polylines, REGEN, REGENALL, LWDISPLAY, LWDEFAULT, Layerstyle.

Additional info about the file:

- Its a parcel plan with ~30 parcels

- File is originally a DXF export from QGIS 3.20.3

- Mtext had hard coded formating like \H2.0\L1.2 (is there something like this for plines?)

I dont have the option to explode all polylines at once and join them afterwards because many single lines would overlap and I need them to join exactly the same way as before.

You need to set (global) width to 0 first. Then set lineweight.

Thank you! Yes, that was it.

I thought "global width" is a "global" variable which has to be set for the whole file. Seems like its object specific

You can set a width different for each segment of the polyline. Also, the beginning of the segment could be different from the segment ending width. Therefore "global" setting for the entire polyline.

Also note, there is the PLINEWID sysvar which sets the initial global width for the newly drawn polyline.

There is no global setting of polyline width that implies all existing polylines (but FILLMODE, though that's something else).
