cannoscale value switches from 1:2 in modelspace to 1:1 in paperspace?

hello,

I am trying to get my work into a higher level. Normally everything including title blocks and so on is done in modelspace, but now I want to have my 2D drawings made with title blocks in paperspace. I previously used the CANNOSCALE in a field in the titelblock in modelspace and that worked great.

But now I am using the same title block in paperspace and independent on what I do, it always switches to 1:1.

I was trying to link to a viewport, but there must be a better way..

Does anyone know what would be best ?

That scale should be what the viewport scale is.

What are you going to do when you have two viewports with different scales?

Yes, that would be a problem.

But why does the same block with the CANNOSCALE in a field always display 1:1 no matter what the value in Modelspace is ???

I there a other value which I should use?

That's because paper space has an annotation scale of 1:1. That's where the value is coming from.

Sorry, I don't know how to accomplish what you want but someone should come along and with something.

Hi,

the cannoscal (variable) displaying the cannoscale value of your paperspace/Layout (for usual 1:1)

No, that is the right way and there is no better one, not for fields, because you can have 2, 3 or 50 Viewports,

this is why you have to link to a specific viewport.

I have made a MTEXT object, inserted a field chosen Object clicked on the viewport and in this way I get the correct value.

But then, when I want to put in in the titleblock, (block) the value 1:2 turns into as shown.

ATTSYNC doesn"t give a solution -maybe a little Diesel?

Hi,

your field in MText linking to the viewport property : annoscale

your field inside the block is linking to the variable "cannoscale",

which is 1:1 in your paperspace.

Try this:

Insert your titleblock,

edit the attribut value.. right click

insert field..

and run the same way you gone with the mtext field (category object, not variable, selec your viewport, choose the property you want to display.

And again: There is no other way to do that!

If it works for this one titleblock with this one viewport:

You should be able to copy viewport and titleblock in one step,

otherwise you have to create the field inside your titleblock for each other viewport again.

I found my solution.

Make a attribute put in the block and connect that to a viewport ... how easy.

Problem solved!

You can not read object data by diesel, sorry.

And if that would working, the stwps would be the same.
