How do I prevent Autocad from displaying the large popup window telling me to connect to the internet after my computer has gone to sleep or been turned off for a while? I have to close that window probably 10 times before it will realize that I AM connected to the internet. Usually after close the window 3-4 times, it will change the message and tell me there's a clock error. Close that out and the message telling me I need to connect to the internet comes back up. Screen shot below.

Works fine here. Maybe that's an indication that you are having internet problems.

Solution: Check your proxy settings

When using a proxy, make sure the Autodesk domains are added to allowed list. For more information see Which URLs/Protocols need to be allowed for Autodesk Subscription Licensing.

To verify the required URL access state, install the Licensing Support Tool and run the following command:

AdskLicensingSupportTool -u (or AdskLicensingSupportTool --checkurls)

Check for antivirus / firewall restrictions

Make sure no Anti-Virus / Firewall Security software is blocking the software to work properly. Normally, it is enough to add the below folders to your antivirus exception list. Refer to the correspondent software manufacturer for specific instructions.

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared

C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared

C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\

C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Local\Autodesk\

C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Local\AdSSO\

Make sure that the software has access to the Autodesk domains. If you are using a firewall and/or proxy See Named user licensing data security and privacy .

Allow Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service on Windows Defender Firewall

Open Control Panel > Go to "Windows Defender Firewall".

In Windows Defender Firewall > Click, Advanced Settings.

Click, "Outbound Rules" > "New Rule".

Click, "Custom" > Next > Choose "Services & Customize".

Select the third option, "Apply to this Service" and select "Autodesk Desktop Licensing Service".

Click Next and "Allow the Connection" and name the Rule and Save.

Repeat the above for "Inbound Rules".
