Rotation of individual objects is done with the rotate3d command or better with GIZMO.
But you seem to be confusing object rotations with view direction changes. To change the view, use Shift+ Middle Mouse Button (that is, you need to hold down Shift and the mouse wheel and move the mouse).

I didn't notice any restrictions, but now you've noticed and I've noticed that I can't actually scroll the view a few full rotations at a time. However, more is never required in life. And you can continue driving if you release the buttons and press them again.

For all objects in the 3D model area, there is no full possibility of rotation in this working space. The are lot of limitations.

Example (shaded mode) - for this standard case is:

- the rotation via X-axis not possible (blocked)

- the rotation via Y-axis limited to +/-90° only

- only the rotation via Z-axis possible in the full range

It doesn't matter if I use rotation via SHIFT+Mouse, 3Dorbit, ... always the same problem.

The free rotation in each axis is the BASIC function of all other 3D CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia,...) ... and here it works.

Hi @AVCPlugins ,

I know all the possibilities to change the rotation in the view, but I have the same problems as above described with the devices as SpaceMouse Enterprise. It doesn't matter if it's a manual rotation or through the device. The user does not have all degrees of freedom.

Was this ever resolved? The way I built out a part required it to be a bit lop-sided. With the way AutoCAD imported the image, I can't get my ideal isometric view due to the limits on rotation. This seems like an unnecessary limit for no real reason.
