yes, i have always opened multiple files like this.

Seems to work just fine here if you have a drawing already open (or a blank "drawing1" open) in R2023.

R2022 and older let you do it from the startup screen as well as when you have a drawing open.

Selecting multiple files, right-click and choose "open" works also.

But after "updating" autocad loosing a fuction like drag&drop multipple files to open them

feels like a failure . So unless i first open 1 file and then select the others is not really a solution.

No one here is Autodesk, we are all end users just like you helping each other out. Reread the last sentence from my last reply and follow the instructions in the link to "talk to Autodesk" about it all.

I could have 2 different files opened on 2 different CAD windows by either dropping the second CAD file in the second CAD window on the bar where you could open another drawing or by opening the drawing in the second CAD window via Select File on the top left corner. I hope that helps.

I'm not sure if you've found a solution for this or not, but doing this works for me.

Open a blank drawing on AutoCAD 2023 > enter PROXYNOTICE and enter 0 > enter PROXYSHOW and enter 0 > close the drawing without saving.

Now, you can drag multiple files from your windows explorer and open them all. Make sure to drop them here, next to the + sign, in the same toolbar.

Meanwhile I'm working with Autodesk 2024 and in this version I just can drag multiple drawings in autocad and they open all.

Since I have version 2023 no longer installed I cannot test your solution but thanks anyway for the effort.
