i7-1165G7 Processor

Hi,

Please can someone tell me if an i7 processor (i7-1165G7) with a 2.8GHz base speed that turbo boosts to 4.70GHz will be fast enough to run AutoCAD 2023?

Considering that I'll be working most of the time on 2D and at least 10-20% of the time on 3D. This is for working purposes, not educational day to day use.

PC is great in other aspect: SSD and RAM.

If I remember correctly, AutoCAD is mostly single-threaded so it's just the Turbo speed that really matters.

4.7GHz is at the higher end for laptops, so you're not leaving too much on the table. 2.8GHz for a base clock speed is pretty normal for a laptop so it's nothing to be concerned about.

The only other factors to be worried about are cooling and power since Turbo needs sufficient cooling and power to reach the top speed. If your laptop is very thin then don't expect it to stay at 4.8GHz for very long.
