Imad, I can't find any instruction regarding my problem here, DELJOB defines the behavior of original geometry for EXTRUDE, LOFT, SWEEP, and REVOLVE.

What I want to ask is if I can regain my once subtracted body before-after performing some other tasks like extrusion, defining new sketches, etc.

Hi, I want to regain the subtracted solid that was once subtracted, after that with I had performed some other tasks also (removing some more solid, creating holes, etc.).

please guide me on the proper way of doing this so that I don't lose my afterward work done.

Reverting to previous states when using AutoCAD requires preparation. These are the options, but few will work well without a carefully thought out plan.

Solidhist: A variable which sets the history recording in newly created solid objects to on. Operations such as union, subtraction, intersection, don't delete the original objects such as primitives, sweeps, revolves, extrusions, etc. To access the original primitives, control click on the object. There are limitations on what you can do with the subtracted solid. You can change it or delete it but you can't convert it back to a solid. When a solid is set to record, other subobject manipulation can't be done such as moving a vertex, edge, or face.

Showhist: A variable which keeps the primitives visible without control clicking on the them. The subtracted solids will display in their component rather than composite form.

All solids have the history and show history properties but only after the history is set to record is there any access to parts added to the solid in the future.

Version your solid drawing: Before using subtract, union, intersect, etc, save a copy of the drawing so you have access to the parts afterwards. Doesn't require solidhist.

If all the manipulation is done in one session, save the end result as another drawing and then use undo to back up until you have access to the subtracted solid.

Delobj won't keep the subtracted solid but you can always make a copy of the subtracted solid before you subtract it and put in an offset position or on another layer. Again, this requires forethought.

If you don't have a copy of the subtracted object (created before the subtract command) and also undo is not possible and also don't have an older version of your drawing (e.g. .bak file) when the solid was not yet subtracted then there is no way to get back (restore, regain) this solid.

how did the subtracted solids get created?

i.e a planar shape on a face extruded and subtracted leaves a hole through

a planar shape presspull dragged through leaves a splid and the planar shape. subtract the solid and reuse the shape for another presspull.
