How do i copy a file that has numerous xrefs within into a different file without having to go into every xref separately to copy?

Hi,

I suggest to try by Ctrl+c and select all of needed attached xrefs then paste it in the new file ( paste to original coordinates )

why when i try to paste a xref file into a different file the xref does not come in when pasting from clipboard. is there any other way to copy paste that the file should come in?

I suggest to restart your CAD program and see if any changes ?

IT is not working, the file doesnt paste, how else can i paste a x ref?

1) Do you just need to thaw/turn on all layers then ZOOM out to look for it?
2) Did the XREF every copy to the clipboard in the first place? There is usually a confirmation message in the original file at the commandline.
3) Is there an error message at the commandline when you paste into the new drawing?
4) does the XREF palette not list anything in the new file? Is there an exclamation mark near the name of the XREF there perhaps?
5) Can you copy/paste other items from that file to a new file?
