Greetings! i'm looking for a way to create a line/poly line that automatically has line/curve labels added to them. this would be particularly helpful when drawing property boundaries or when using lines/curves to check dimensions

Then use Civil 3D, plain autocad can do it with autolisp, but it will not label arc definitions (Arc length, chord, bearing....for you)

Please attach an example drawing containing a "Label". This would be very helpful. What content do you want seen in the label?

If it is civil related, there may be better tools than plain AutoCAD as mentioned by @Patchy .

I am using autocad Civil 3D 2021. I am looking for a function or an option or maybe general education to be able to draw a line or curve and have a label style immediately applied to the line or curve. effectively eliminating the need for me to cancel out of my poly line creation command to apply a label to the feature. pictured below is an average example of what what i would draw using these lines and labels. note that lots of these features could include 50+ courses, so having a feature that automatically labeled my lines/curves as i drew the line/curve would be HUGE

Hi Nicholas,

Even in Civil 3D that won't happen. Labels are applied after the fact. But Parcel Labels can be applied all in one fell swoop so there's that.

You can also try ADDLINES.

It doesn't curve the annotation above arc though.

C3D would do that if you used FDO objects such a .sdf or .shp data with the label style assigned in the style.
