Erase Objects in multiple layouts (using Filter and previous selection)

I've been using the Filter command for years to single out objects across the entire drawing (multiple layouts, paperspace, modelspace). Then I would usually delete that group of the same objects.

My workflow is this:

1. Filter command to select the desired object (block name etc), using 'all' selection

(note that it found multiple instances of that object)

2. Then I would cancel out of the filter command once I had the objects selected.

3. ERASE command, selection 'previous'

It is only deleting the objects in the current layout tab.

I'm sure I've been using this workflow for years with no issue. I am now using Civil3d 2023 and it seems to not be working.

If anyone knows of a system variable that might be preventing the command from using the full previous selection set.... or am I losing my mind 😉

YOu sure it worked like that in older year-versions? Which one(s)?
This is not C3D forum, and we don't have access to your files to test your files. Can you share DWGs at least?

Side question while you wait: why isn't your titleblock an XREF, so you can edit the common content just once? Then use FIELDs from SSM to populate the sheet-specific content.

Hi Pendean,

Not entirely sure it worked in the past, just one of those situations where I know I've deleted blocks in multiple layouts before and am pretty sure I didn't use a lisp.

Posted on the AutoCad forum as I believe its more a general AutoCad question than a specific C3D query.

My Sheet is an xref (all the linework etc)... but the text in the sheet is inserted as a block independently within the drawing (set up as a template obviously). the text (attributes within the block) is controlled by a excel spreadsheet register.
