Adding leader points, pressing enter/continue creates a point at origin.

cant tell if this is a bug/feature/variable.
When im adding leader points;

I right click the leader
click add leader
select the new point(s) for the leader
then if press enter or continue it will create another leader point at the origin but will only do this once per "add leader" session.
i.e if I press enter again it gives me another leader to place, but then enter again, ends the command (how one would expect the first time pressing enter would behave)

My problem is, after I finish setting the leader points and hit enter to cancel/continue, it will place a leader point at 0,0, only if I press enter again it cancels the command like it should.

I'll try get a screen recording tomorrow.

<ENTER> works fine here to end the MLEADERADD tool in AutoCAD 2025.1.1 in Windows: does this happen in all of your files or just this one?
Are you on a MAC and running the MAC version of AutoCAD by chance @MaccyDee

Or are you running a 3rd party add-on, or using a vertical variant of AutoCAD2025?

standard AutoCAD 2025.

I've checked using the regular acad template and leader.

It doesn't do it using the standard leader.

If i copy one of the leaders from my template >into> the acad template and try it again, it will do it, the standard leader still works as it should.

standard leader in my template does the same thing (enter sends to 0,0)

I've tried audit, tried export to AutoCAD, tried redefining the leader style,

i believe so, have a faint memory of doing so and there's no updates available through the app

I am having this same issue. I am running AutoCAD 2026.0.1

If I add a leader to a standard multileader and then press enter, the command exits as normal.

If I add a leader to a custom multileader and then press enter, AutoCAD adds a leader at 0,0 and the text window says "invalid input". If I press enter again, the command exits as normal.

Just to let anyone else who experiences this issue know, I did submit this issue to Technical Support. Technical Support investigated the issue and forwarded it to Development, so it's possible AutoCAD will revert to it's previous behavior after a future update. Technical Support revised and updated this article about the issue:

When adding a leader to an existing multileader, an extra leader starting from the origin is added in AutoCAD

which outlines two partial workarounds (other than hitting ESC instead of Enter after placing a leader).
