Hi there,

I've tried deleting all the objects out of the top 12 layers of this file, but the layers won't delete.

Any idea why?

Hi,

Q: What is your Productname and Productversion? Check it by Command ABOUT.

In newer Versions: Use command PURGE , Tab [non purgable item]

to check where the layers are refered

In your case: 11 Layers a refered by blocks

Solution: Purge blocks, then purge Layers

But why nit PURGE ALL items should work?

and Layer12 "S-BEAM" is the current one, set another layer as current, for example Layer 0, so S-BEAM will also purgable.

All your layers are gone now (see attached): get familiar with PURGE (you had over 490 blocks that needed to be gone), LAYDEL and LAYMRG commands when you are trying to get rid of layers. HTH
